Engineering Documentation

Amarel > Engineering Documentation

Amarel’s engineering documentation center is one of Israel’s largest, employing 50 dedicated employees. The center, which integrates development and production, specializes in three main areas of expertise:

  1. Development of assembly files
  2. Drafting as planning assistance
  3. Knowledge management – Documentation and preservation of relevant knowledge for logistic production line requirements.

The center’s employees have experience in various technical disciplines, and are professionally skilled in optimizing the development-to-production knowledge transfer process. Our teams consist of mechanical engineers, expert draftsmen and content writers, who play an integral role in various defense and commercial sector projects.

All of our products undergo a methodological customer-oriented process, and are manufactured via innovative technological tools.

Development to Production – Assembly Files

Our teams specialize in the development of visual assembly files, 3-D and interactive, which showcase an intuitive and clear product assembly process. We use animation for models and production computerized drafts. Professional production files provide developers and production teams with ultimate efficiency when content alterations or fast data transferring are required, and facilitate a dynamic, interactive and paper-free process.

Drafts as Planning Assistance

After defining the product’s needs, goals and requirements, the professional draft teams are incorporated into the production process. The teams produce numerous alternatives for product execution, which are exhibited to customers via virtual tools such as SolidWorks and CREO.

After the preferred concept has been selected, detailed content and production references are executed. These include: production and assembly engineering drafts, freezing, complex electricity sketches, component lists, and more. The team accompanies the development process up to the prototype creation and production component ordering stages.

Documentation and Logistical Assistance for Production Lines

Prior to the product’s “final stamp”, the engineering documentation center employs logistics experts in the production lines, who coordinate and update the documents that accompany the development and production process. Our experts use a variety of documents to create a robust product accompanying package file, which is of great value to customers.

In addition, the assistance team supports project managers in gathering all relevant files such as fault reports, quality reports, functional tests and more, assuring that the project complies with all requirements, standards and goals. The team also performs working tool calibration inspections, gathers lab data, conducts inventory counts and more.
